Weekend.

So, this weekend has been long and hard, but in the end it has turned out well.

Th was difficult, but we made it through.

Fri was the beginning of the "retreat" over at CPC. I was on sound, and it was kinda fun. I got to see Abbi and Joel, which was exciting. I love Abbi and Joel and I don't get to see them often, it was very nice. Worship was pretty lovely.

Sat was the major day of the "retreat" and the talent show. I enjoyed them both, and only disagreed with a concept or two. I truly liked it.

Sun was the end, and then the visitation at the funeral home. It was a difficult evening, however I think we made a small difference.

Today was the funeral. It was a lovely service, and the outside section was very cold.

I'm still not entirely sure of my emotions on the whole deal, but I have peace now.

In a totally unrelated side note: Councilor Troy from TNG is useless as all get out. "He is concealing something." "What is it?" "I don't know, Sir."

(Isn't it lovely, I can post comments now!!)

I'm sorry my dear *hugs* What are you up to this weekend, maybe I can call...it has been far too long....

Aw, councilor Troy isn't that useless! She's really handy for those species who only communicate telepathically and need a body to inhabit!!

Sorry, Angie, gotta agree with our dear Lilly on this one! I always wondered why they bothered with Councillor Troi, since she was never able to "sense" anything useful!! & she could only inhabit bodies when they were ALSO telepathic & gave her extra "power", which made her "dead weight" in most alien encounters...
Just my 3 cents, tho...
Hey, A.W., what concept(s) did you disagree with?

Well, he had some ideas about prayer that weren't particularly Biblically based, and they made me feel slightly edgy. Good news is, I suppose, that I can't particularly remember them, so I won't really integrate them into my prayer life!

This weekend? I might go watch a movie at a friend's house, but I"m not sure.

And I think that she makes for more plot building than actual use on away teams. Though it is kind of nice to have someone able to tell that the people you're eating dinner with are trying to kill you...^_^

Well, the basic idea of Troi was eye-candy and that is that. She does become more useful the later the seasons go methinks. Though her romance with Worf is revolting.
